In the 1980s and early 1990s, Vicki Kuntzelman was involved in several bands, ultimately deciding to form her own in 1984 after graduating from UT Austin. She established a heavy metal and punk rock band in Flagstaff, adopting the stage name “Ms. Ann Thrope” for her group, the ‘B.T.’s.’ This musical endeavor was a significant passion. Kuntzelman's commitment to teaching narratives that shape our understanding of the world has established her as a respected historian in her field.
