Biography
Cedric Bryan Maxwell (born November 21, 1955) is an American former professional basketball player and current radio broadcaster. Nicknamed "Cornbread" (a reference to the 1975 film Cornbread, Earl and Me), he played 11 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a small forward. Maxwell played a key role in two championships with the Boston Celtics and was named the Finals MVP in 1981. He became the 22nd former Celtic to have his jersey number (31) retired on December 15, 2003.
