Ummey Salma Raaya is a Bangladeshi writer and lyricist. She was born on September 8, 2004, in Bagerhat, Khulna.

From a very young age, Raaya had a keen interest in literature and writing. Her love for poetry was nurtured by her father, who was also a poet. Growing up, she was influenced by the works of Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Jibanananda Das.
