Sonia Denis is a New York-based comedian by way of Chicago, IL. Sonia's stand-up can be described as idiosyncratic, frenetic and another cool adjective. Sonia was recently named one of Vulture's Comics to Watch and is an Emmy-nominated writer whose work has been featured on HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show, The New Yorker, and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency. Sonia co-starred in the Emmy-nominated web series Brown Girls and has also appeared on Adult Swim’s BIRDGIRL, HBO’s High Maintenance, and Netflix’s Bojack Horseman.
