Biography
Fanny Fan Lai (traditional Chinese: 范麗) is a Hong Kong actress. She entered the movie business in 1957 after winning a beauty pageant. She initially entered Shaw Brothers' Cantonese film division as Wan Li-Hong (traditional Chinese: 萬里紅; simplified Chinese:万里红), and starred in the 1959 film Behind the Hidden Scene (禁地春光). However, her career took off after she entered Shaw Brother's Mandarin division with a new stage name, Fanny Fan. She played naughty roles earning a nickname "Oriental Brigitte Bardot".
