Daniele Bigi
Biography
Daniele Bigi is a visual effects supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic. He joined Industrial Light & Magic’s London studio in January 2015 as CG Supervisor on Marvel’s Ant-Man. His credits as CG Supervisor also include Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange, both at ILM. Daniele later served as Associate Visual Effects Supervisor on Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One, for which he received a Visual Effects Society Award for Outstanding Virtual Cinematography in a Photoreal Project. He has since overseen the visual effects for Marvel’s Eternals and contributed to major titles such as Disney’s Aladdin and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Originally from Lake Como, Italy, Daniele studied Industrial Design in Milan, where he began exploring 3D computer graphics as a tool for automotive design. A lifelong film enthusiast, he discovered a passion for visual effects as a way to merge his artistic sensibility with his technical skills. This led him to pursue a career in the VFX industry, beginning with smaller studios in Italy before moving on to Aardman Animations, where he joined the emerging 3D department. He then held roles at Framestore and MPC.
