Biography
Brian Blum is a Miami and NYC-based award-winning filmmaker. His career began at NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where he received a BFA in Film & Television production. His NYU Thesis, Blood and Water, made the BAFTA shortlist in 2018 after winning the NYU Wasserman King 1st Prize and world premiering at the Miami Film Festival, where Brian now serves on the programming committee. Brian's follow up short, My Daughter Yoshiko, won the Zeno Mountain Award at Miami Film Festival, and continues to succeed on the festival circuit. Brian is the Executive Director and Head of Production of AdaptLab Filmmakers, a production company based out of Brooklyn that works exclusively with employees with intellectual disabilities, helping them forge paths towards successful careers in the film industry.
