Biography
Coralie Fargeat (born November 24, 1976) is a French film director and screenwriter. She gained international recognition with her 2017 debut feature film Revenge, for which she received awards from several independent film festivals. This was followed by her second feature, The Substance (2024), a satirical body horror film starring Demi Moore. It screened in the main competition at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where Fargeat won the Best Screenplay award, and she also received Academy Award nominations for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Picture.
