Biography
Elizabeth “Liz” Bernard is an accomplished Animation Supervisor with credits on over 20 feature films, as well as numerous shorts and episodic projects. She supervised animation on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, overseeing approximately 1,000 shots. Her work on the series earned her a nomination for the Visual Effects Society Award for Best Character Animation in an Episodic Project.
Liz holds a B.A. in Drama from the University of Virginia. She brings a rich background in theatre—both on stage and behind the scenes—along with a strong foundation in photography. She is particularly passionate about breathing life and emotional depth into animals, creatures, and fantastical beings.
Her filmography includes key supervisory and lead roles on major titles such as Terminator: Dark Fate, Captain Marvel, Thor: Ragnarok, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Beauty and the Beast, A Wrinkle in Time, and Maleficent, among others.
Since joining Digital Domain in 2011 as an animator, Liz has rapidly advanced to Lead Animator and then to Animation Supervisor. She continues to elevate both her craft and that of her team, contributing to all phases of production—from previs and animation, to pipeline development and technical troubleshooting—with a meticulous eye for detail and innovation.
