Mario Marret was a French filmmaker and explorer known for his documentary work and contributions to polar exploration. He began his career as a sound engineer before transitioning to filmmaking. Marret led the French Antarctic Expedition in 1952–1953, which was documented in his film Terre Adélie (1957).
