Biography
Karoline Henkel (*1987) is a German film producer.
Henkel studied Film Production at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and produced the short film E.+U. during her studies. This was followed by additional short films and, in 2013, the drama Zwei Mütter (Two Mothers) by director Anne Zohra Berrached. In 2021, she produced Bürgermeister, Schäfer, Witwe, Drache (Mayor, Shepherd, Widow, Dragon), which won multiple awards at the Max Ophüls Film Festival. This was followed by Alaska in 2023 and Jenseits der blauen Grenze (Beyond the Blue Border) in 2024.
With the documentary film Soldaten des Lichts (Soldiers of Light), she was nominated for the VFF Documentary Film Production Award at DOK.fest Munich 2025.
