When her mother Wendy’s body was found in the Grand Canal in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2009, Katherine Clary had few answers about what had brought about the tragic end to Wendy’s tumultuous life. Mining her mother’s letters and a rich archive of family photos, Katherine and her co-director Emily Sternlicht weave an elegiac narrative about addiction, grief, and family.
